Communications and Technologies Project Manager
Margaret Anand is the Communications and Technologies Project Manager at the Bay Area Urban Areas Security Initiative (BAUASI), where she manages the cybersecurity and combating domestic violent extremism (DVE) project portfolios. Margaret chairs BAUASI’s Cyber Resilience Work Group (CRWG) and administers the California Prevention Practitioners Network (CPPN).
Previously, Margaret spent over six years in geopolitical risk management at Meta, the AI startup Dataminr, and the travel security firm GardaWorld. She started her career as a program assistant at the Council on Foreign Relations.
Margaret holds bachelor’s degree in International Studies and French from Elon University and a master’s degree in International Security from Sciences Po, Paris School of International Affairs.
